Job description
We are looking for a dedicated, independent, skilled, and enthusiastic new colleague with a legal background to join our legal team in Sandnes, Norway as a Privacy Officer.
As a Privacy Officer at boost.ai you will work to ensure that the company’s processing activities and practices are compliant with applicable data protection rules. Your tasks will be varied within the data privacy field, and you will work with a young, dynamic, multicultural, multilingual team of colleagues across the boost.ai group.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and recommendations about the interpretation and application of the data protection rules under GDPR, and stay up-to-date with and monitor regulatory changes.
- Identify and assess privacy risks, carry out privacy impact assessments, and assist in developing strategies to ensure compliance and reduce the overall related risks for the company.
- Be responsible for the training/education of employees who process personal data on important data compliance requirements, and raise privacy awareness at the workplace.
- Give advice in non-conformity matters and be the recipient of non-conformity reports.
- Participate in and take the lead as boost.ai’s privacy expert in audits, such as the ISO 27701, and work to ensure that the company is compliant with the privacy related iso-requirements.
- Participate in meetings with customers, partners and suppliers as boost.ai’s privacy expert, and assist in relevant requests from customer, partners and data subjects.
- Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Ad hoc legal work, such as assisting in contract negotiations or procurement processes.
Skills, qualifications and competencies required
- Masters in Law from a EU/EEA country.
- We are primarily looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years relevant legal experience within privacy.
- Contractual and commercial understanding.
- Fluent in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish and English.
- High integrity and a strong ethical compass.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own growth.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ambitious and structured with a high work capacity.
